Pip's Burger Shop
printable game · ages 3–6
Open a tiny burger shop on your kitchen table.
A printable pretend-play cooking game for ages 3 to 6. Your little chef picks an order, cooks the chicken, stacks the burger and shouts “Order up!” No screens, no batteries: just paper and a big imagination.
- Ages 3 to 6
- Screen-free
- No glue, no folding
- About 15 min to cut
Four steps, one very proud chef.
Every station has a sound to shout. Put the food on, make the sound, then flip the piece waiting face-down: the raw chicken really does turn crispy.
- 1

Pick an order
The card shows who's hungry and the burger, bottom to top.
- 2

Cook the chicken
Shake, pat, sizzle!
- 3

Stack the burger
Layer by layer on the Serving Mat, just like the card.
- 4

Serve & colour a star
Order up!
Three regulars, eight orders.
From a simple cheesy chicken burger to “The Big One”, with drinks from the machine and a Yum! card when it's served right.

Nine pages. One whole kitchen.

- 3 play mats
- 8 order cards
- 22 food pieces
- 1 Star Chef award
Quiet hands, busy minds.
What they practise
- Following a picture recipe, bottom to top
- Sequencing: season, coat, fry, stack, serve
- Role play and taking turns as chef and customer
- Counting stars and finishing a task
Printing, made simple
- A4 or US Letter. On Letter, choose “Fit to page”: every page shrinks the same, so the food still fits the mats.
- Thick matte paper or light card (160 to 250 gsm) for pieces that last.
- About 15 minutes of cutting, then it's ready to play again and again.
- Laminate the cards and food if you'd like them to survive years of service.
Before you print
Is it really free?
Yes. Pip's Burger Shop is our first episode and it's free to download. Leave your email and the PDF arrives in your inbox.
What do I need?
A printer, some card or thick paper, and child-safe scissors. No glue, no folding.
Which ages is it for?
Ages 3 to 6. The first three order cards are simple; cards 4 to 8 add toasting, melting, drinks and the double-chicken challenge.
Can I use it in my classroom?
Of course: it's for personal and classroom use. If a friend wants a copy, please share this page rather than the file.
The kitchen opens in two minutes.
Place your order, print the pages, and let your little chef take it from there.
